Okay, so on a good day I can manage 1,000 words. Not necessarily erudite or witty ones, but this project is to climb on a story-horse and see how it runs. When I reach my target – now raised to 90,000 words – we’ll see if the draft can be improved enough to go out into the big wide world.

I’m very impressed by your heroic determination. Especially as I think you’re probably writing the less enjoyable bits at the moment?
Being at the first draft stage is fairly enjoyable – until I skid to a halt at some stage – the difficult part is reading it over later and seeing how rough it is!
I’d like to say I used ‘stage’ twice deliberately,to illustrate how first drafts need editing, Sadly it was simply carelessness…
